Actually, it looked great of course HOWEVER... it was played in a way I don't think you likely envisioned and, that was rear projected through scrim. So, you had haze in the room which both adds and yet detracts. Some feel, and rightly so, that graphics/abstracts are harder to look at when you are visibly seeing the beams that make them up but... what it also did was give it depth and a 3D appearance. So for example when the "bubbles", as I refer to them, are getting larger and smaller, they take on the look of getting nearer and farther away. What it takes away though, is the painstaking detail and what you fight so hard to achieve with a super tight beam when displayed on a flat surface and view from the front.
So... another way of looking at it is, if you want to see a Swamishow in a really cool way and don't have the greatest of projectors.... rear project it through scrim!
Any yes, it works flawlessly. The only glitch would be, for example, if I wanted to add a track to a particular show for beams. Say the Uptown Funk show... Since it's locked to my FB3, Beyond won't allow you to add another track - even for example if I wanted to add some DMX cues to do something with non coherent things like uplighting or, a moving head or something. That's going to be an issue with anything locked though and I'm not suggesting that you distribute anything unlocked for copyright sake but, I do wish Beyond would allow you to add something to an otherwise locked show - even if for personal use.
