Well having just ordered the Laserdock, I've jumped into Maxwell too. Time to dig out my old midi controllers with lots of knobs and faders!
Windows support for Lasrdock would be very well appreciated!
Had an hour or 2 on it tonight and its starting to make some sense. Definitely needs a control surface to really experiment i think.

You are using Bonetti's defense against me, ah?
I thought it fitting, considering the rocky terrain.
Also, is there any space for sharing presets? Bluefang how big is the user base currently?

LaserDock for Windows will indeed be supported. I am working on the finishing touches of the next release as we speak - which include much more than just LaserDock support.
There is nothing at the moment . Preset files are simply .json files (text files) - and they are quite small in size - heck, you could even share individual presets through PL posts - but I agree, something a bit more elegant would be nice.
Cool, just got hold of an Evolution UC33e controller which has 3 rows of 8 knobs plus 9 faders.
I can run the 2 banks of X Y Z oscillators on the knobs then rotation and position on faders.
Then I've got an Evolution X-session DJ controller with 2 rows of 8 knobs and cross fader so I can use knobs for Colour control and cross fader for blend between oscillator banks. Seems about ideal.
What solutions are other people using?
I've got a Remote Zero mk2 as well but the evolutions just seemed like a more suitable layout

Oh man... I use to have one of those UC33e knob boxes - but I sold it in a garage sell when moving across the country. Wish they were still in production.
I am mainly using an Akai APC-40mkii - but the layout of the knobs and sliders is not an ideal match to the layout of Maxwell's controls.
It looks like another possible good match for currently available equipment would be the Akai MIDImix + APC Mini
You can still get hold of the UC33e, thee were quite a few on eBay although some prices were silly. I got lucky on an auction which no one else bid on for £50.
I've got an APC40 for Beyond but I wanted to build a dedicated abstract rig, so these seem more suitable.
Weirdly I hadn't realized that's what I'd been wanting until the Laserdock came out, then it all sort of made sense
I love that Maxwell isn't just a cue launching application, it's something you can evolve in real time, akin to the way a DJ progresses a set. I do a lot of psytrance events and this fits right in. We have some great decor crews that this sort of material works great projected onto.

Those who have purchased Maxwell should have gotten the update email - but just in case you didn't, Maxwell 1.2 has been released. Lots of exciting stuff in this update! Check out first post or Maxwell homepage for more info.
Also, just because it is fun to follow stats - and this thread got a little bit derailed a while back with a tiny little OS war -
Ratio of Mac to PC purchases for Maxwell is 2.2 Mac purchases for every PC purchase.

Can you say how big the user base is? If you don't want to declare exact numbers, maybe a rough indication?
