We've been bad about recording video, I admit it. A few people have put together some videos from past SELEMs, however. Here are some links:

Thank you for sharing and debunking my 'be there or be square' theory, Adam.
Unfortunately, the nature of our media is that it disappears the same instant that it's revealed.
Must say (too often, my tendency), what a shame that there is no historical record of SELEM's gathering among the industry's (aging) creme de la creme laser artists and developers, showcasing their best accomplishments, after years and decades of dedication and personal investments... all for naught posterity?
What ever happened to Jon Tilp, Randy Resnick, Ron Dahl, Ed Burzycki, Howard Sacks, Dave Cooper, and the many other great laserists of past decades? Where are the remnants of their works, now?
Only stardust (and cosmic photons) in the wind are we.
(admittedly, far too many mixed metaphors, but couldn't resist 🙄 )
IMHO, this awesome annual laser event should be covered on YT, the same as other exhibitions, like Star Wars, CES, robotics, ...
How better to pique awareness and attract more enthusiasts to keep the snowball growing?
In fact, I'm only here thanks to stumbling upon Swamidog's YT videos 7 years ago, which enlightened me about the existence of affordable diode lasers. Chris' videos have continued to inspire me to build my own gear.
Except for Chris, I only see strangers walking around in these SELEM videos, while wondering who they are and their background stories.
I'd love to see short introductory interviews, including their control gear, followed by samplings of their shows.
Yeah, I know, "Then attend." <sigh>

Would a bird's mating song be more alluring if composed by human intellect? 🤔

Can't wait for SELEM next year. Made a little acquisition that should be fun to use in the portable planetarium!

    That's pretty cool, Rodney!

That dome looks rather flimsy though - how rigid would you say the building is? From the picture, it looks like it might blow away in a thunderstorm.

Still, having a new planetarium open up near your home has to be a thrill; those chairs look very comfortable. Are they running laser shows in there, or just star shows?

Structure seems pretty solid. I remember driving along the coastline after a hurricane and seeing rows of ex-beach houses with empty stilts and ONE dome home still standing.

Haven't heard of any lasers involved yet...Only open since May 2025...but I suggested it in my glowing review after seeing Classic Rock on Strings show.
At around $50 a show...this will be a luxury item for me...but want to take wife when she returns home from taking care of her 88 year old Father in New York state.

On another subject...I had stents inserted in two arteries for my heart September 19th...so I should be good to go for future SELEMs!
