    Default LPF FORUM

Would somebody who posts on both LPF and Pl go over and tell that guy with the 5 mW lyra pointer that thinks he has retinal burns that odds are he has learned to see the "blind spot" caused by where the optic nerve fuses into the retina. He's givingh himself a bad case of eye strain looking for a injury that most likely does NOT exist.

    Thanks, Steve

    Something like that.
I don't need him stabbing himself in the eye with a protractor. Just tell him he comes with built in brownish black fuzzy spots

    LOL!

Haha... I remember the first time I discovered these blind spots... luckily it was long before I discovered the joy of lasers so it didn't freak me out. I think I was about 6 years old.

If you get your blind spots removed you can see the monsters that hide in them!

    Default Pointer safety

DID SOMEBODY GO POST AND PUT HIM OUT OF HIS MISERY?

I'd be cluebyfoured there if I even signed up over there, with my hypocritical and Heretical posts in the past in many places that only "labbies" should be above IIIA.
He has already spent $$$$ on medical tests!

And while I own one pointer (exactly one) that is above class IIIA, I totally agree with you that any laser above IIIA shouldn't be in a 'pointer' package. I'd be castrated if they knew that over there, though (I really needed to use that new smiley)

THANK YOU< One less pointer fan needing prozac and taking needless steroids for his eyes.

Its undocumented , but I strongly suspect the stressing and rubbing of the eyes if you think you have a burn is a undocumented eye hazard in itself.
Oh wait, its in Sliney's stuff some place.

    Analogy:
The electric shock didnt kill him, catching his head on the file cabinet when he reacted did.
