I've broken down and decided to forego my original decision of travelling light. I plan to bring a projector. (3 watt RGB) I'm 1.5 pounds underweight for an excessive bag fee. I'm bringing the 6 port ILDA splitter, one ILDA cable and I'll have some FB3's there that are for sale. I'm not bringing any LD2000 computer gear but, I'll have some content on an external drive. I'll have a laptop of some sort but, it may not be one of my dedicated laser ones. Although...you said Urban 15 has no internet correct? Might just go computerless for the weekend.

Glad to hear that you'll be bringing some more hardware (I appreciate it! - I know it's a pain to haul with you on the trip).

We'll have at least a notebook, QM2000.net, etc. and show material discussed. No internet access this year at Urban 15 as of the last update - hopefully we will have this resolved by next year and/or establish a mobile hot-spot at a minimum.

I can make a hotspot available during certain hours assuming the area has acceptable service. I'll confer with those in charge as to when or where they think best. There is a limit on connections so some discipline regarding sharing will be important and I will control the equipment at all times as it is borrowed. Them's the rules!

Does anyone need large crates/bulky things transported from Dallas to Urban15? I got that F550 flatbed serviced..

I am leaving south oak cliff 0800 Friday morning so anything that someone wants hauled needs here before then.

haha Yeah my assistant Jacob has re-appeared.. I was worried, but it seems he had his cellphone # put on hold for a couple months between jobs, nd has not been driving 40 miles to my lab for the same reason. those things cost $, eh?

Let's help him learn a lot more about lasers, that will be good for his physics and EE studies later!

And, as an update Greg, I AM bringing a LD2000 system and another ILDA cable. Assuming I get through airport security anyway. Hardly a damn thing but electronics, a change of underwear and a toothbrush in the carry on so, I'm SURE I'll get pulled aside after an x-ray! I figure too, if I can't fit anything else in the bag, I can't buy anything to take home either! Might be a good thing!

Airport in 5.5 hours... better call it a night.
