PJ can tell you about Beyond 3D in private. I simply don't have a clue, I just look at it and think that's pretty I wonder how you use it!

TBH PJ need a video walk through. Lets hope the final version has video tutorials. I've never used 3D software before and as good as the manual probably is, to read an entire manual is just too much like hard work!

I will consider it, i've become easier in terms of speaking for a recorded video and thus i'm able to do video tutorials.

A new format to replace the creeky old ilda standard would be most welcome. However, until pangolin documents their standard and makes it available to everyone, it benefits only pangolin.

Pangolin is a key player, but their closed format and retreat from industry standards undermines the very industry that their business is based upon.

Imagine buying photoshop only to discover it reads jpg but only outputs psd.

I believe the problem Swami from what I remember being said to me, is that ILDA file standards take years to agree and even then are often a compromise.

I think the reason why several companies have broken away with their own file formats (it's not only Pangolin), is because of the difficulty in changing the ILDA standard to what they would require and the length of time it might take.

However, don't take that as gospel, that's only my recollection of the situation and I could be wrong.

That would be most helpful as 3D manipulation and creation is quite daunting to anyone not familiar with even the basics.

    WL,

I agree 100%. However, I would have less issues with alternate formats/standars as long as they are documented, open, and shared. The last thing this industry needs is more fractionation.

If you have a better standard, improve the industry by sharing it. Everybody wins.

suppose you're thinkin' about a plate o' shrimp. Suddenly someone'll say, like, plate, or shrimp, or plate o' shrimp out of the blue, no explanation. No point in lookin' for one, either. It's all part of a cosmic unconciousness.
