Anybody have an idea of how many people will be staying at the Holiday Inn Express in Conover?
I will. They were nice and the breakfast was not bad. Also, anybody bringing an espresso machine? I noticed that the whole coffee-craze hasn't quite hit in the Newton-Conover area.

Adam, I love that "To whom it may concern" heading, with the accompanied 'clock'... so that you can't confuse it... or, wait, this could be PM... I'm confused

I suffer from the Dunning–Kruger effect... daily.
Of the 18 people who are confirmed so far, I believe all of them are staying at either the Trott House Inn, the Peackock Inn, or the Holiday Inn Express.
Of course, there are plenty of other hotels up and down I-40, and some of them may be cheaper than the $75 per night that the Holiday Inn Express is charging us. But the Holiday Inn Express is very convenient to the venue, and everyone that stayed there last time said they really liked the place.
The Artist's Cafe isn't open very late... I think they close at 11 or so, which means an after-dinner-party-party would have to be held someplace else anyway. I guess the lobby of the Holiday Inn Express is as good a place as any. (Though last year we did go out to I-hop for breakfast at 2 AM, which was a lot of fun...)
