At least with respect to Korea, the US has provided thousands of troops and hardware to "defend" S. Korea from N. Korea for over 4 decades since the Korean war.

Hillary lost too. Seriously, can you guys shut up about Trump for once and talk about the guy/gal you support for once for a change? I expected more than this

I would discount these posts. I believe Dchammonds is just trolling. There is no content and no analysis. The failure to present an argument for alternative candidates is that he knows these arguments are unlikely to prevail or that he is unwilling to present his real reason for his support. For example, voters who support Hillary because she is a woman are sexists, etc.

OMG! The Moon is escaping the orbit of The Earth at a rate of about 1.5 inches per year and all you care about is who's going to be our next president!

    James,
Give it up. Despite all your deviousness we all know your trying to change the subject.

So, where were we? Oh ya...how are we going to shatter the hopes and dreams of the left? Just one more election or maybe just a few more and the utopian world will have to start working somewhere. I mean, it has to! Human nature can't continue to remain the same in the face of relentless pressure to undermine it. The hive will win if only because there are so many living in it already.

Remember the opium wars? Despite the push to get as much of this country complacent, dopey and distracted as possible, the ugly bits keep showing up and the smoke clears for a while. Pat Buchanan wrote a nice piece recently and added at the end, J.F K's admonition:

“Those who make peaceful revolution impossible, make violent revolution inevitable.”

Oh yeah, I remember him- he's the guy who wants to bring back the Latin Mass, roll back Vatican II, and double down on the anathemas of the Council of Trent- after all, "the Council of Trent was the first major step in the Counter-Reformation."

Oh, for the good old days...

"Belief in the creedal truths of Catholicism is not what it was in the years before Vatican II – the halcyon days of the great pope and future Saint. Pius XII."

    I'm glad you remember him.

But, I do like the recent piece he wrote. It is a bit more pertinent to the current topic. It is compelling as well.

By the way, how do you like the current pope? I think he's a loony, but then I'm not Catholic.

I'm not Catholic either, but Francis is known for washing prisoners feet, getting close to common people and would choke at the thought of being carried around on a throne... How things have changed!
