Gary I meant it exactly the way I said it. If I couldn't make it work on my pc then I'd have to uninstall it. That isn't a snide remark but a statement of fact. As I've said less tactfully above, you are perhaps over sensitive at times when it comes to feedback.

Gary just do what makes YOU happy... as long as you respect other people.." basic everyday mainstream social skills"

You just stated you don't consider it fun making your software.
    Please stop making it...

Buy one of the mainstream products and just be happy watching shows and making shows.

There are no big hobbyist communities that make thier own shows and sharign tons of shows for free...
    Not even the pango users.
There are a handfull of hobbyist users making shows on the LD2k syst.
maybe 10 free hobbyist shows in the past 5 years.
Even the FB3 platform thats affordable never got of the ground sharing-show-wize.

The ld2k sytem has alot of shows because its a industrie standard for proffesionals.... that do make shows.
Some of them are introduced into the community for advertsing purpose..
and some are bought by pangolin themself so that they can "show thier apreciation" towards its users...
You don't just buy a product, you buy a total package.

I didn't want to buy the product.. because i found it to expensive.
Now that i have it (thanx to Bill that offered me a nice deal/upgrade from the fb3) i'm not going to look back...
I'm a happy camper.... and if i'm not happy anymore...i sell it...
alot of people want to have the package....

The mamba users have the same type of package...nice support group.
And a company that have competitions in show making.. thus encouraging their users. They have shows to bring out in to the community.

    All those things cost money...
Free don't seem to work in the laser community, it has nothing to do with you or your software...

It isn't the time... i gues.

Regardless, all I did was say I wasn't going to be able to help you. You and Buffo made a big deal of it and further annoyed me. Fact is that I worked on the issue as soon as you reported it. But, I wasn't going to admit to that since you didn't seem to be very polite in your request/statement. If you would have just kept quiet you would have had a new release by now all fixed up and pretty. But, subsequently, you have shown that you don't care for me so what difference does it make? Yea, I could be more thick skinned with criticism, but why should I give stuff to people who don't even like me?

Well, Anthony, I thought I could make a difference. I don't mind writing the software if others contribute. I don't want to make it about others but it is about others because the whole thing doesn't work unless others contribute. I get the feeling that I could beat on this software for another 2 yrs and get it to a really nice place. I had plans for a nice live player and frame editor. But even still you are probably right that it wouldn't make much of a difference. It won't until the projectors and software get out of the hands of the techies and into the hands of the artists. I gave it a shot, though. I won't be left wondering.

I know you dan't want to hear this.. but even your HATED bill/pangolin has tried to do wath you are trying.

Introducing a resonable cheap DAC fb3 and FREE powerfull software.
There are 2 free hobbyist shows i found for that platform.
The other where provided with the package.
    There is NO sharing.

Even the BILDA project never really got of the ground.
Its a nice/nobel thing that people are trying.....

It sadfully just dont seem to work....
I myself got really annoyed with it.... and even i didn't began making shows and sharing them.... its strange.

It's a catch-22. Without inexpensive or free software that is easy to use (like yours) the non-techie artists will not flock to lasers. The artists that are at the same time 'techie' sell their shows. I am still working on my 3D converter software but when I make a show I'll add it in Spaghetti too.

Not all people sell their shows, Andrew. There are people giving away shows for Mamba and LD-2000. In time, I think Spaghetti would have built a following as well. But it's not going to happen overnight, or even in a year. Pangolin's FB3 has been around at least 3 years, and there are still only a handful of shows for the LA Studio software that comes with it.

If Gary is willing to be patient, in time he might get more shows. But it's going to take time. And if he keeps removing the download link from his website, people are going to assume it's abandonware and look elsewhere for their laser show software.

    Anthony,
if you sleep with my dog you can bite my sister..

Gary.. AS IS, Spaghetti is an awesome piece of software (once the "bugs" are worked out)
i will put some shows together but im not great at it..

Lets not forget what is different about spaghetti and laserboy and DrLavas projects.. something that is kinda new to the world of lasers... DOIDES and SOUND CARD DACS..

Diodes are cheap, sound card dacs are almost free.. this means there are more and more hobbyists every day..

if there are 100 hobbyists and they eventually make 1 show in spaghetti a piece.. thats 100 shows..

i will commit to making at least 3 over the next month or so..
