Yeah hope everything is alright in Newton. Sounds like they got some of the worst flooding.

Looks like the flooding was ~12-15 miles east of Newton, close to the Iredell county line. The venue should be fine, as well as the local hotels, but anyone who lived along the river is probably having a bad week. (Not sure if anyone at the venue lived that far out...)

I'll get in touch with Olivia on Monday and confirm everything, but just looking at a map, it's pretty clear that the towns of Newton, Conover, and Hickory are all well west of the flooding area.

    This is Bloompyle from LPF.

I plan to get there Thursday night. I have a ride to the hotel, and to the airport, all I don't have figured out is transport to and from the event and the hotel. I plan to stay at the Holiday Inn. I also don't have a roomate, if I have to get my own room, I can, but I'd rather not. Anyone I can work something out with?

Hi Bloompyle, there's quite a few folks staying at the Holiday Inn express, should be easy to catch a ride back and forth. I'll likely have a mini van and can give several folks a ride as well. I usually try to leave the hotel by 9:45 in the morning.

    17 days till load in!

I've never ridden a bike, and have a sort of curiosity.

I don't feel getting a ride will be laborious, although I like to plan ahead as much as I can. Unfortunately it wasn't until recently that I discovered I could even go.

0945 sounds pretty good to me, I'll pm you my number so we can stay in touch.

Just looked at the list. It's going to be a really nice turnout! I'll get there around 8:42pm on Friday according to my calculations. If someone could have a cold one ready I'd appreciate it.
