Do you honestly want a non political, silver spoon fed, reality TV star, egotistic that has been surrounded by yes men his whole life as President? I loved when Trump pulled the curtain back on the campaign show and showed what it was really like, but he knows 0 about politics. And thats not a good thing. Trump mentioned he wanted to run for President in 2011. Which means for the past 5 years he did little to nothing to educate himself on world affairs, and politics. The things he says echo back to the Reagan years, peoples frustration with the government, and general "White" views. Its exactly what the older Republicans want to hear, but ask him about actual world wide concerns, and he stutters, then changes the subject. And people seriously want this guy to run our country? The Reagan years are far gone, as with the white conservative superiority complex. The last person I want in control of the "Button" is Donald freakin' Trump.

There are 3 types of people in this world. Wolves, sheep, and sheep dogs. I think between the 3 candidates its easy to see who is who. Personally I think Bernie is the safest choice, at least for the next 4 years till we get the next bunch of clowns to choose from. Bernie is the only candidate that doesnt have a mask on, and seemingly doesnt have ulterior motives. At least not as many as the other two. Even if he sucks as a President he wont do near as much damage as the other 2.

People keep misusing the word socialist. This is a capitalist country/society. No matter what social idealism anyone has this country will never turn socialist, I dont care who is in charge. Thats a red hearing statement, and nothing else. They said the same thing about Obama. Its 8 years later, and are we socialists now? Are we even close to being socialists? Our society loves being capitalists, its just that the mid to lower classes are tiered of getting the shit end of the stick. Do you really think Trump cares about the mid to lower class? I have no self loathing issues. My loathing issues come from lack of knowledge, lack of common sense, and laziness. None of which I have. I fly my own flag, and live by my own well researched positive code of ethics, and not by what a political party tells me what I should believe in. Even with my distaste for the populous I still lead by example and have done volunteer labor for 2/3 of my life, I've always help my neighbors, and have lessen myself more times than I can count to help other people in need, just like my mother did. Including people on this forum, and the other forums. I've saved 5 peoples lives in my lifetime also. I've always done the right thing, and I'm fine tending myself. I've been doing it nearly my whole life. I dont know anyone that can say a bad word about me, except that I'm opinionated to the point of being an asshole on social media. Big deal. Being an asshole to people I personally dont like (I dont mean you) on social media has nothing to do with my personality, my opinions, or my accomplishments. I'm far from self loathing. I won’t say if anybody in this room predicted he might not make this — reach this point, but what does it say that here he is against all odds?

DAVID BROOKS: You know, it says a lot of things. It says the Republican establishment has been coasting on the fumes of Reaganite philosophy for too long which are not applicable to the day. It says that we have some people in America who are longing for a country that is never coming back, where a certain sort of white male ideal is the top of society and that’s never coming back and they’re looking for a white male to remind them of those days.

It also says a lot of people are hurting for perfectly legitimate reasons. I know what you meant, but I disagree with your premise. This is supposed to be a republic of free people, not a nanny state that looks for the most attractive caretakers. Your willingness to be charitable is good and it is your choice with your costs and rewards. However, the idea that your philosophy is any more valid than someone who chooses not to be so giving is egotistical. That is what freedom is all about. Someone can choose the direction for there own life and they reap the results.
